Questionnant les forces qui nous gouvernent (gravité et légèreté), cette œuvre manifeste la tension de deux matières opposées, la légèreté d’un souffle de verre et la pesanteur du béton, dans un dialogue incertain où la résistance des matériaux est poussée à son maximum.

Pursuing his thoughts about forces that shapes our universe (gravity and levity) this work show a core made of concrete, ready to go against the movement the sphere suggests. The use of traditional techniques – here the mouth blown glass – can be encountered in many of Jean-Baptiste’s works, but always in order to modernise them through new challenges: here a heavy weight of concrete supported by a thin layer of glass.
